One thing is for certain Madoobe and his admin will have no influence in the region and if Hassan insists on this he will be resisted just as much as Madoobe.
yeah Sool is more important than Gedo. our Ganacsato go SL through Sool but they mainly trade with Boosaaso. Gedo is isolated and has nothing to offer to the other regions and there is Kenyan bombings they go Baladweyne through Luuq-Bakool. Somalia had 3 highways no single runs it. Xamar-Kismaayo, Xamar waqooyi and Xamar baydhabo..Sahal you are wrong about Sool.
The 3rd largest customs stream after Berbera and Wajaale is in Tukaraaq Sool region. It generates millions of Dollars of taxes and custom duty per year.
There are plans to build the first dry port in Somalia in Sool region.
Gedo is a region wracked by war and famine, foreign forces, AS, tribal militias etc. It would be unfair to compare the two regions. However, I will say Gedo has enormous potential to be an agrarian powerhouse........the breadbasket of Somalia inshallah.
