As someone who lives here I’ve heard stories if some of those Somali maids being taken to some of those remote desert villages, and mistreated.

Two things make the situation a little better though:

1) Somalis by nature are feisty, and will die for pride. A Somali lady stabbed, and killed a officer who came to her house without permission.
2) Somalis are known as not just a 100% Muslim country, but ones that used to give Sadaqa to the gulf.

Don't lie on the events sxb, May 2020 was when an evacuation due to Covid restrictions took place, there was no incident of Farmaajo "sending back maids" when no maid was officially sent under the shady deal made with Saudi. I understand you're doing this to make Farmaajo look better but when CBB push those tweets the propaganda becames more obvious than a phishing email on a IT course.



If they were sent, tell us exactly when and how many. Make no mistake, i watched his interview, HSM was completely inconsiderate to the situation at the time when Uganda Malaysia and many countries recalled their workers. He only saw dollar signs when they made him offers, he knows Somali maids have been in Saudi Arabia even before the Civil War, plenty of anecdotes and sources online about it, they had passports embassy contacts and basic protection and HSM thought it was good to legitimise it again. Thankfully calmer heads prevailed and it was diverted.

I could care less what they do to HUTU women since their men are signing off on it. I just hope my Somali sisters from other regions don’t participate.
