MY MATE......

Postby salafi_student » Sat Jan 07, 2006 5:31 am

Q: My mate was born in Somalia sometime ago, but he was raised and educated in the west.

To make matters worse, bizarrely he has a dual nationality 1) Somali 2) Western.

Going back to Somalia feels really strange for the poor guy, because he doesn’t recognize anyone there and no one recognizes him except his old father, he truly felt a foreigner in his mother’s land.

Will this make him a westerner?

Or is he like the many Soms who have been brain washed by the TV, thinking Somalia is not good enough for them, since there are No (991’s, 999’s, 000’s + more).

But fortunately my mate was different, he has great determenation to go back home no matter what. becoue he knows with out a doubt his religious convictions, and behaviour would be in a very bad shape if he stays here any longer- due to the fact that Haram things been far-reaching (excessive), unavoidable in these western countries and Halal things are small in numbers.

With out money where will you go (i.e. no jobs in Somalia)? People said to him, he ignored, they said it again and again.

He continuously tries to ignore such questions, as he is fully convinced that Allah(SWT) will provide him to the same way that Allah provided him for his intire life - My mate is still persisting to go back home- what would you advice him?

Think......will you go back if you had the chance ? or stay here....

Salafi,

You make some good points. This is the problem when somalis in the diaspora discuss and analyse the situation in somalia. They have a somali heart and a western mind. Read Sir Lugooyo and my discussion.

There is a clash of civilisations, a clash of values.

Caydid you right bro, clash of cultures is the core of the problems. I’ve realised that the Somalis wash away too quick and can be easily influenced by almost anyone. Comparing to the Asian’s who hold their culture stiffly no matter where they may be east or west.

Regarding Snet, is really shocking and disarray with some of the disgusting comments some people make in this forum, those who has been brain washed, dry-cleaned to the max- but still think they really civilised, elegant people with tie and 3p suit.
Plus I think they should also reapply their somalinimo citizenship since they value the western way than our islamic way of life.

My great grandfather was born in small town in Yemen. My grandfather then later on my father was born in one of the Gulfian States. He back where his ancestor come from, they couldn't recognize his Khaliiji accent, he felt lonely, left, and decided to ever back. Does that means he was brain washed by Khaliijis Confused Confused

Salafi, your story got no meaning. Sorry budy Embarassed

I have to admit, not everyone is the same in reading, some people is enough for them to understand an article by reading just once, others may need 2, 3, 8, or more than 10 times.

Regarding my brother Rebel we had this problem b4 (remember!), I always advised you that if you can’t understand to read the article again, possibly more than two to three times until you can grab the full story.

Have fun reading again….

Have fun and sorry again. I promise you that I'll never open your topics in the future. I apologize again.

To be honest with you rebel, all my topics are intended and targeted pacifically people like your self.
I usually try to discuss the main important, current issues for the people (Deen or Duniya), in order to correct our faults, whether is an individual probs or as a community.

No hard feelings bro come Insha Allah and visit—, I’ll be more than happy for you to take part- I know sometimes it can get quite intense but please don’t be put-off by it….
We as Muslim brothers should all love kheyr for each other to make us successful in this life and hereafter.

Rasululah (SAW) mentioned in a hadith reported in Sahih Bukhari narrated by Anas where: The Prophet (SAW) said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

How important the Hadith is, that it shows wishing for your brother what your like for your self, determents to having faith, (Iman).

Ps: the intensity of the topic if I in anyway showed disrespect to you or to anyone else please forgive me.

And as a Muslim we should avoid harming each other as its mentioned in a Hadith reported in Sahih Bukhari, narrated by 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:

The Prophet (SAW) said, "A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands. And an emigrant is the one who gives up all what Allah has forbidden."

Walahu A’alam

You still insist salafi better than be called a Musllim Sunni Shaafici like your parents and I wonder who washed your sense away.

Are you that Muslim guy, who just found out about Islam?
