Sister,

When your wedding time comes, if you are honestly into Baraanbur and stuff, let me give you one little advice:

1. There is this women she is called Sahra baraanburtey, an Abgaal lady from Baffalo. She is the best in USA.

Horta is it true in the Somali women what I always hear from movies, women start fancying their wedding at the tender age of four and continue until they tie the knot? One thing I can tell you is, it never occurs to guys, actually, nothing in relation to wedding and aroos comes to a guys mind until he couldn't get laid or is maybe getting closer to the grave. Certain cases might end up with arranged marriage, and I put them in the category of those who couldn't get laid. And trust me, here, I am talking on behalf of all men, unless they are a breed of their own.

Why any1 would want to get married is beyond me. The fact that women fantasize and start their preparing their wedding at the age of 6 only proves my theory that women are NUTS. NUTS, NUTS, NUTS!

Walaah...I never though of "My Wedding"...why the heck would anyman think of that???

Now that you brought it up...i am thinking like this: Find a woman(when its time..i dont know when yet) that suits me and my demanding nature, hopefully I suit her too...get together...a little Zab, the wadaad and the two markhaati...end of story...if she wants more than that...we will see. Laughing

Sir quote " women start fancying their wedding at the tender age of four and continue until they tie the knot"

Of course I can't talk for all Somali women, but the majorty do not start fancying their wedding at that young age. They may play "caruusad caruusaday". But at later age when they mature enough they start fancying to be married (Halal) unless they are into something else.

Our men on the otherhand are into the SOMETHING else that is why they do not rush to a marriage. Shocked

i am not trying to spend a lot of money on a wedding that will make make me go crazy and too tired for my husband, i dont get how some woman spend so much money and time of wedding, and go home on the wedding NIGHT at MORNING, so technically somali women dont have a wedding night, but a wedding next morning. shit just want him to go the shiek, so i can go home to want i have been waiting for. simple. and give lunch to the old men at the masajid. ajar and simple

I have seen her in many somali wedding videos. In this one video I watched, she was showering praises on the grooms dhulbahante clan. She is really good with that qabiil stuff. Laughing

Ugaas Diini,

Yeah she is good at that stuff. (Qabiil Amaan). But it is the choice of the family who are negotiating with her. I was in a wedding in whiich she sung(baraabur) about Somalia and she was praying for our country, reminded everyone how we used to be united (ul iyo diirkeed). The lady is realy something. Smile

I hate when people try to get someone from their clan on their wedding entertainment. Who cares? Hire the best one regardless of his qabiil.
