Hijab, the importance.

Postby young@muslim » Sat Mar 11, 2006 2:50 pm

Salam Alekum, as sister in islam we should all encourage each other to do well, prayer is so important and so on, however many people dont realise the importance of the hijab, the veil as women we have been ordered, is not a choice.
Aisha (RA) reported that once her sister, Asma (RA) visited her in finery while the Prophet (SAW) was at home. He (SAW) turned away from her and said, "O Asma, when a woman reaches puberty it is not lawful for her to uncover any part of her body except this." He (SAW) then pointed to his face and hand palm. (Abu Dawud).
The hijab is beautiful and by wearing it you are not just pleasing Allah swt but you are also recognised to be a proud muslim woman.
Allah swt knows best.
