SOMALI IMAGE SANCTITIES SHAMED BY THE FAMINE IMAGES!!!!!!!!!

Postby The_Don_of_djibouti » Sun Mar 12, 2006 6:10 am

The culture of provocation with negative images.
Here we go again:
At least 1.7 million Somalis teeter on the verge of famine as record droughts in the Horn of Africa have led to extreme crop shortages, says a new report.

Now some of you have heard of the potatoes famine where half of Ireland emigrated to the USA.
Or the booar (white dutch) famine in south Africa.
Have you seen pictures or images to denigrate the white man. Have you seen anything whether in the history channels or news any white man/ woman or child with flees on his mouth?
Have you seen any white drug addicts with his feaces all over his cloths at the TV.
Although you have meet them at the underground of London and Americas.

No!!!!!!!! the reason is there is that sanctity about human honor when it comes to white men.
I don’t blame them!
Image is everything, that is why we buy nice cloths, cars and would like to live in a nice place.

The whites do inform about misfortunes among them in a civilized way but when it comes to blacks. They sure loves to show the worst of ours in their TVs.

Worst we Somalis should be ashamed even allowing to let them take those pictures in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the moyans in Somalia should do at least something valuable about what they learned on all this shootings.
And should shoot any westerns or Somalis dabadeeleef (white ass1 licker) taking pictures of these miss fortuned Somalis in the drought area.

Allah gave us honor and we should be at least die with pride when misfortune befall us.

Our Somale forefathers said:
Haadaa dimanayseed naah dhareer kaa waa layskaa duwaah!!!!

Don

Well, what can I say?

Don good topic, actually I’m building some sort of respect for you after what you’re done in some of your notorious topics. But again do us a favour and leave out the shooting bit + the usage of foul lingo.

By all means, keep up the likes of this topic as it’s quite beneficial….Thank you mate.

The_Don lacks consistency in disguising the writing signature of his other nick. Certain sentences expose that signature. Spicing up his titles like his other nick does easily exposes him. Funnily changing some Somali words isn't sufficient, besides, it mismatches his English.

No it isn't. LIFE is everything, even Islam agrees with me on this. Without life, there is no IMAGE, HONOUR, PRIDE OR ANYTHING worth protecting.

Not only are wrong but you're also not very clever AND historically ignorant. IT WAS THE PICTURES AND FILMS OF STARVING ETHIOPIANS, SMUGGLED OUT AGAINST THE ODERS OF MENGISTU GOVERNMENT, THAT FINALLY IMPELLED THE WORLD TO HELP. Without those pictures, millions of ethiopians would've died.

I remember reading an article about a white photographer who's pictures were shown worldwide during the Somali war. He was considered a hero in America simply because he took those pictures of dying Somalis. Anyways, the dude got stoned to death by some Somalis. Too bad white photographers are welcomed with open arms in almost all African nations.

Image is everything.

Any self respecting somali man in somalia should kill anyone who is taking images of dieing children and woman.
Human deserve respect and more when that human is a somale!!!!!!

Should they wish to highlight the drought, the death of catles and the sanding desert is enough to inform the extend of the problem.

Cool man would you ever expect anyone highligthing the help of somali community and business toward the drought.

Would you hear on the western TV that shabellenews have participated in a honorable way to help their brethens???
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dieing children or woman do not even notice about pictures taken but those that are around or responsable should bann and threaten to kill any journalist who take those pictures

Why do you want anyone to highlight the help people lend to their dying brothers and sisters?? it is better if they stay anonymous with the help they give.

also, maybe they woudn't have recieved have the attention if it wasen't for the images broadcasted. i personaly came to know about the devastating drought on tv wallah. the people in my local masjid and the surounding mosques have collected around £21,000. again how would that have materilised if it wasn't for the images shown from draught affected areas??
