loool, buranbuur is long and boring. All you do is praise someone or some qabiil to death. We are not that fimiliar with it in the north-west. But it takes creativity and a huge amount of knowlegde about the somali language to do it. Kudos to those women walahi Smile

Xpo, i know the one you mean. I have seen some tall yummy men doing it in somalia on tape Cool. I never realised that there were different reer miyii dances?. Interesting!

^no when the dance get goin, the conservative rer baadiyaha feel their love n need to continue dancing is unnatural so they explain it as jinns goin in them makin them love the groove more and more, hence "wee bururaan" Laughing

Ar Goobile saar gedood
markaan goobile tumaa
u guu-xaa saar gedood
gaabdhahayo wiilashiyo

markay gurigayga tahay
ar goobile goobile
markuu inan-ku kaco
gu'giisoo toban dhamayn

lol@ mad dog, qaar baa is jeexaan with toorey and sh*t. Like you said, they claim to be possessed by spirits.

Ciyaarto waxaa jirto reer shabeellaha ciyaaraan, siiba abgaalka. It is fun ciyaar but I forgot the name of it. When I lived in the shabeellaha back in somalia, me and my brothers used to always go to these ciyaaro just to watch em. Both females and males used to participate...does anyone know the name of this ciyaar. It is similar to dhaanto.
