They were innocent people who were tortured and then released. Imagine if Mad Mac was their torturer? I have no clue about Jiboutian politics, and my bad, if that kind of thing is now happening in Jibouti, I thought people will object to it, and revolt against the president. What do you think of the report, is it accurate?
I watched a Spanish documentary, and tell Kamal (your cousin

) that successive Spanish governments tortured Basque seperatists including rape, while openly lobbyying globally in anti-torture human rights campaigns in South America, and the rest of the globe. Those things happen in most countries.[/quote]
Mowhawk: You're right here, mate. But allow me some corrections. It was not the Spanish Government (although there were politicians on the issue) which was torturing ETA prisoners, but the Police itself. When the Spanish Government discovered the tortures, the policemen (Guardia Civil) were sent to prison and they're still there (the famous case, in Spain, of general Galindo and his corps). There was also a terrorist group called GAL which was anti-ETA and was integrated by policemen. But they all were detained and sent to prison. This terrorist GAL killed some ETA members.
ETA was a separatist group in the beggining. But when Franco died, it became a terrorist group. In other hand, there are not reports about raping women. Not a single ETA female has denounced rapes until now. When terrorists are catched and sent to interrogatory sessions, they usually denounce tortures, but there are always lawyers and doctors who have to certificate that. Anyway, sometimes the Police goes beyond the human rights and cross the red line. But those policemen usually end down by law.
About the Djibouti issue, I don't know what to say. But probably it's true. There is a great controversy now not only in Spain, but in the whole Europe about the transport of 'suspected' Al Qaida members in CIA airplanes using European airports. It's supposed that no country in Europe can allow a illegal flight to use European airports. But, actually, USA is using European airports for illegal purposes.
The law is the law, and it has to be respected in all circumstances...
Say hi to my cousin Biko
