SURREAL...

TheMinister of national security in the transitional federal government and key member of "anti terror alliance" Mohamed Qanyare Afrah flees Mogadishu to Jowhar

Then the Islamic courts capture a strategic town in the Shabelle region

and now they are about to declare victory AND authority in Mogadishu..

I'm a little scared walahi. I mean it's good to see warlords go down and fleeing the same place where they ruled with brutality for 15 years but what's next for Somalia? Can the Wadaads remain fair and apply the sharicah properly? How long can they stay in power? Will they allow the people to elect a leader freely?

I dont expect any radical changes to happen anytime soon.. the isbaaros will probably be gone and thats about it.. although al-itixaad or "maxkamadaha" are as focked up mentally as the war-lords, they will atleast help unite the ppl of Xamar and they will restore some type of law and order in that messed up place. Eventhough I am sure they will be executing a few "gaalo" (anyone who does not follow their interpretation of Islam) here and there Laughing

I dont think anyone can negotiate with these guys.. their dream is a Somalia that is ruled by them and their ideological beliefs are followed. They are like the Somali version of the Talibans so I dont think there will be any elections or whatever.

But i gotta say, I'd rather have them rule Xamar than a bunch of idiotic warlords.

That's what i'm afraid of. I mean of course having them rule would be better than we have now but we need educated and religous people who can put Somalia back together. People who re-establish somalia's economy, rebuild the country, and enforce JUST law and order... Crying or Very sad

I think this is the end of the begining of 16 years of warlords terror , The first time a decade and half Mogadishu will be under One unified authority There might be some Warlord-syndrome Clean Up Islamic Courts to face for while , The good News is the Warlord Era in Somalia has begin to an END . there is No doubt Somalia will enter a New face of Unpredictable challenges , I hope Somalia begins to step_out Clan Plotics to Shari'a or Ideology of Rule of Law .

I dunno man. I'm just being cautious and pessemistic as usual. I don't want to declare victory for the side of Peace just yet. I mean, the wadaads are hawiye as well so there is a thin line between wadaads and mooryaans when hawiyes are involved. Laughing Laughing

^^Good heavens! Is that why you took 45 minutes?U were coming up with that lame iidoor insult? Hell, i could have helped you with a better jab at the marqaan tribe. Laughing Laughing Laughing

In all honesty, hawiyes are all savages...regardless of how religious they are and we all know they aren't fit to lead people. Laughing But they sure do make nice followers (soldiers). When i'm elected president of Somalia, i will make sure the entire army is Hawiye. Very Happy

Lion-Heart,

that's not true man, the sheikh who taught me Quran was a Hawiye HG, and he was one of the most beautiful people I ever met til this day wallahi.

You have to try to stop generalizing, everybody is their own person and so far these wadaads have not shown a bad side.

XPlosive,

Give these guys the benefit of the doubt man........I just heard Sh. Sharif talking and he seemed like he was interested in rebuilding Somalia and invited all people who are interested in reconciliation to contribute.

I think it's fair we give these guys the benefit of the doubt and not jump to conclusions.

Allahu akbar. i don't follow the news alot but this one has put a smile on my face wallah Laughing i think it is something every muslim should be proud of. afterall if it was abdullahi yussuf or some other somali for that matter or even forces from outside the shores of somalia were the causers of this sudden change to a somalia that has been engulfed in hopelessness and savagness of the highest order for nearly a decade and a half, we would have been proud of them wouldn't we??

unless ofcourse you are sick in the heart and a blind follower of qabiil ike xoogsade or a hypocrite, there is nothing to stop you from being happy about these sudden change Laughing

about the whats gona happen in future??? their (wadaado) track record in some areas of mogadishu speaks for its self. no need for going onto cilmul qeyb ! leave it to Allah and give the wadaado the respect and heroism they deserve Wink

go wadaado go

I believe the Wadaado are not exclusive Hawiye but a mixture of other clans as well.

Now, the question is, do they recognize the Transitional Government or are we bracing ourselves for round two between the Wadaado and TFG? I know A/hi Yusuf was supporting the Wadaado financially and he wasn't making it a secret, if that deal is to be taken as a token, then all is well, otherwise, we are in for another surprise.

Few qustions to ponder love lugless.

Do you support Afbiijo? How and why did Afbiijo support Ittihad? Do you have prove? Those thugs are used to murder and mayhem, who will you support when they invade Puntland and Somaliland? The reason why many here support them is not out of love or compatibility with their conscience, they support Ittihad because;

1) The evil himself is better running Mugdascio than the warlords.

2) Most nationalist Somalis believe Ittihad to be the only force that could achieve the Somalia dream and have the necessary violent attitude and means to invade Somaliland. They believe once they achieve the union by force, a third nationalist force will emerge and destroy Ittihad.
