A Blow to Bush’s “Anti-Terror” laws. A Landmark Ruling.

Postby Mowhawk » Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:32 am

Salaam everyone, I hope you all are in good health.

There is doom and gloom here, and I brought some good news.

The American Supreme Court decission, 10 minutes ago.

President Bush doesn’t have the authority to try detainees in Military tribunals. The president over-stepped when he created them, and those tribunals violated the Geneva Convention. The judges (5 to 3) decided to strip the notion of “enemy combatants” and decided in favor of the Geneva Convention. The implications are profound.

Background to the issue.

The Congress is on his case for ignoring the laws he signs.

And then there are the immigration and labor laws that have not been enforced for years.

It is about time this President and administration was called to account.

Halleluja!

Salaam saaxib, did you sign the petition to impeach Bush? As you stated above, the reasons are similar and countless. He is dangerous and incompetent. I think Impeachment is a waste of time, resources and effort. There are many reasons to not only impeach Bush and company, but legally to lock them all in prison. The American people should pressure their politicians to accept the Treaty of the International Criminal Court. Remember Nixon was impeached and has changed nothing. There are lots more of Bushes where George W. Bush is from, and on the other side too. The American system needs to be changed from the roots. Blame the two-tier political system, more popular alternative voices should be heard.

Below is the petition.

That means they continue to sit there. They will not be released. Only the minor characters.

They WILL eventually be released, they can't/won't hold them forever. And there WILL come a day when the War Pigs have to answer for their War Crimes. GREAT news seeing Pres. War Pig being undermined yet agian due to his ignorance, lack of intelliegence and poor advice. I love seeing a "big" man made little. Now if only those other two c'ocksmokers, Cheney and Rumsfeld, will suffer serious health issues, keel over and die.

They're paying now. I don't think we'll execute them.

You think God is going to punish them even harsher than we are? I guess maybe.

MAD MAC,

Forget enemy detainees, you should watch Loose Change to see what they are really capable of in 9/11 and afterwards.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... ose+change

Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Khalilzad all belonged to the PNAC thinktank.....they wrote a document before 9/11 saying America's military dominance would be questioned if it didn't get a 'catalyzing' reason for overhaul. "A new Pearl Harbor".

that's just the tip of the iceberg........the physical & scientific evidence is astounding.

Gedo
I am privy to info that unfortunately I can not share. I can assure you there was no US plot to make 9-11 happen. UBL and the Muslims attacked the US in cold blood. The reasons are articulated here on the net EVERY SINGLE DAY. EVERY DAY half of you here bitch about the US and make statements supporting the "Mujahedin" and your belief that Islam will ultimately be victorious. Well, if Islam is innocent and white handed, then it need not be victorious because it is not in a struggle, at least not a military one. But we all know that Muslims have been chaffing for decades. So let's not pretend that Muslims are innocent and that the US is making all of this up to justify itself when you know full well what is, and has been, going on in the Islamic world.

How about you:

1. Watch the documentary first.
2. Retire from the US Armed Forces so you can have an independent opinion.

There are too many unanswered questions and I think the documentary will open your eyes to it. Some of that evidence will appeal to your military background as well.

As far as Islam, I never said Islam isn't a challenge to the current status quo. Islam, in theory, is an open threat to the current injustices in the world. Everything ranging from the interest-based economic subjugation of the vast majority of the world to the prohibition of vices.

I never denied that I believe Islam will not prevail on Earth. I'm not violent for believing in that...but if believing that is a crime nowadays then I deserve to be in Gitmo.

However, I don't believe that the facts behind 9/11 are accurate and it was done because 'A new Pearl Harbor' was needed. In fact, I believe it was done to instigate an open confrontation with Islam....this whole terror thing is just a charade to scare people into accepting whatever terms are required.

Islam, not terror, is the new boogeyman.

But if this religion is truly God's religion then I have every reason to believe God will preserve it.

First of all, the US government would not have needed a reason to confront Islamic resurgence. That would have been easy to generate since the American public has been totally fed up with Muslims for a LONG time. And, of course, we could have (and should have) targetted Iran and easily justified it.

Since Islam is not Gods religion, he won't help it or its practitioners.
