Idiots like this guy cant understand, though Shaykh Shariif comes accross as a decent human being, you can't equate the hatred of people towards him like it is a hatred towards Allah SWT. It was never banned or never intended to be banned. That plant is Somali owned and contributes to the local economy. Some of the local business people decided not to supply Coca-Cola (as a sypmbol of America) after they found out that the US was funding the warlords.

Actually, the plant is a franchise of Coke. It's not a totally independent operator. They use the Coke name and Coke recipe, and pay for it. Just like in Ethiopia. But the plant is Somali owned and operated. Heard there are a few white guys from Coke who helped get the place up and running. They're gone now though.
