Considering the unfolding recent events, one should not be branded pessimistic if one assumes of the recurrences of the 90s looming in the horizons of the South of Somalia.
Hawiye V Daarood is plainly in the making, generating from the muscle flexings of both "occupiers" of Xamar and Kismayo. Mareexan claiming and manifesting peaceful and stable Jubbada Hoose region whereas the UIC (now branded Cayr) would not accept anything short of the Shariica and the upheavel of the current system, claiming it's incompatibility with an Islamic Reer Kismayo. Granted that Marexan conquered Kismayo with Cayr assistance, what murked and turned that marriage stale is a mystery to me and many who dislike to dig and disect the carcass of qabyaalad.
Once the first shot is fired (regardless by who first), clan loyalty and blood relation will kick in, we are Somalis and the first wailing from skirmishes will always be the same (Yaa tol eheey) and no Somali with red blood can resist that holy call but will answer as soon as possible and the rest is history.
The question however that begs for an answer is, are Marexaans the lawful owners of Kismaayo? Would MJ and OG who claim the ownership of Kismayo, come to the assistance of their brethren, or would they hold the old grudge and say, fukk you, they are the same ones you used to rid us of our land?
