Red Bull

Postby Beenaale_No1 » Tue Nov 07, 2006 2:33 pm

I was just wondering about the health effects of Red Bull. I know its banned in several countries worldwide including France and Denmark. From what I can gather this is because of the high levels of caffine in the drink, but apparantly a can of Red Bull contains only as much caffine as a single black coffee. So I was wondering, is there another reason?

I hate Red Bull by the way, I think its bollocks. I am just curious about the health effects

Its when u mix Redbull with alcohol say Vodka is where the problem occurs. alcohol is a depressant and Redbull is a caffeinated drink (increases your metabolism). Your body tolerates greater amounts of alcohol when u drink RB than if u didn't (your body would tell u to stop by giving u dizziness, aches, impaired motor functions etc.)

THIS IS ALL FROM OBSERVATION Me no Drink

Anything that has the objectives of an illegal susbtance, I will not take. Plus, I do not want my body to get used to this. I had to do to stay awake (although Monster made me sleepy).

Yeah but there are records of (I believe) two people having died from Vodka mixed with Red Bull, in total. The effects of Red Bull have been greatly exaggerated by a lot of people. It is a high-caffeine drink but it has been around for over 10 years, and the effects, beside possible sleep deprivation and anything as a result of that, are minimal. So I dont understand why its banned in many countires.

Red Bull taste so bad its not even funny. If I wanna stay awake, I rather drink cappuchino (sp?).

One can is bad enough, how you can drink more than that is beyond me Lol
