Golal, everyone has their own agenda here: the “Iidoor” want to be recognized, the Clan Courts wants to implement a Taliban-like hard-line Islamic regime in Somalia, and TFG opposes both. So all it comes down to is which agenda is most likely to be favored by Somalis and the world at large.

...And so far, what we know is that the “Iidoor” agenda flies with “Iidoor” only, while the Clan Courts agenda is mainly supported by radical groups be they Somalis or not that also happen to have some hidden agenda of their own. The TFG, however, has both the support of the world and that of all peace loving Somali nationalists who dislike both the secessionists and the Clan Courts agenda.

No doubt, the TFG is up against two formidable foes that continue to downplay its importance since it happens to be the most important governmental institution that exists in the country today that could, in fact, jeopardize both the secessionist and Clan Court entities if it were to gained full control.

Indeed, the TFG is a weak, simple because it inherited not a single institution since all the national institutions were destroyed during the civil war...“It also lacks financial support as it has had little beyond moral support from the international community.” But in terms of control it has as much control as any other power: it has the full support of Puntland which is roughly a third of Somalia as well as the regions of Bay and Bakool.

Yes, according to an Ethiopian government official “Ethiopia is prepared to invade neighboring Somalia to defend Somalia's internationally recognized government against what appeared to be an imminent attack by an Islamic militia...”

...And so are the rest of its neighbors and the world for that matter...True, Ethiopia seems to be walking the walk when it comes to aiding the TFG military more than any other country...I mean big f@cking deal! After all their support has so far deter the Clan Courts from invading the weak TFG headquarter where it still continues lobbying for international aid and putting its case across, especially with the issue of removing the arms embargo.

Surely, what those who advocate for the secessionists and the Clan Courts agenda hate about the present Ethiopia, is the strong relationship it has with the TFG and above all the President of the republic. This is politics people learn to deal with it and stop moaning for heaven sake!

Smooth, why don't you argue from moral standpoint instead? Just because The Element is bigotted against other somalis and called them names shouldn't be an excuse to follow suit. When someone has the higher moral ground, they surely don't need to insult others who are left behind to wallow in the putrid. There is no Daarood agenda nor a Hawiye one in Somalia today although many somalis like Element are supporting their chosen groups based on Clan affliation or opposing it for the same reason. Back home, It is about A/Y and his junior warlords, the same warlords who bloodied our parents, relatives and other somalis in muqdisho and beyond, facing an indomitable soldiers of God who stand talleer, ready to die for a noble cause, with the assured support of All somalis who despise the warlords and their intent to rule the country undeservedly.

When I saw his picture and that of the other warlord Bootaan Mooryaan sitting in the Ethiopian parliament located in Baydhabo, I knew TFG was gone.

Smooth, Just remember, people who write here have no influence back home, their opposition is a reflection of their beliefs and what they stand for, just read if you care and move on. There are somalis by the millions who hail from the same clans these guys above hail from who have stood aside from them on moral grounds, those somalis back home who hail from Darod and Hawiye and all other somali clans respectively deserve our respect and that we do not bad mouth them because of others. This is not a clan war, it is a somali war. Let the clanists(and they hail from different clans) join whoever they please. Their stance is the same, if they are not having their way, they are bound by no faith, no culture, and no relations. It doesn't matter to them who gets killed as long as they think they are ruling the country.

Tell me why they would invade Cabudwaaq and bring in 30 tecknikos to the city when there is no war there and there is absolutely nothing stretegic about the city itself? What is so islamic about disrupting the peace in the city and forcing its people to flee into Ethiopia and the baadiye. Of all the cities in Galgaduud, why did they have to go to the only non-hawiye city there? They are attempting to build a base in Cabudwaaq so they can destroy it while sparing their towns. As you are aware of, the policy of the courts are to spread their influence through the clan system. They are not invading anyone but members of the courts can decide to go to their own clan fiefdoms and stablish islamic court in there. If the locals refuse and it becomes a war, then without question, the courts side with their members who hail from the same clan. This is how all the clans of Muqdisho were subjugated one by one the last one being my clan SACAD, how sweet it was to here CabdiQeybdiid's departure from muqdisho. It would have been more pleasnt if they hanged him, unfortuantely, they may have dressed him like a woman during the night and saved him to wage another war in some remote desert land.

If nothing else, I support the courts for getting rid of those faithless men who placed no value on the lives of somalis they have dominated for so long. It is depressing to hear the TFG because of its make-up. Qof ilaahay si dhab ah u aaminsan ma taageeri karo nimanka baydhabo joogo. The courts have brought the changes I wanted to see in Muqdisho. If all else fails, I would like to see Xamar free from A/Y and his Mafia. No more warlord in muqdisho, no more clan system in Muqdisho, No more clan pickering.
