They have MI-24s. No where NEAR Biadoa. And the things don't have 1,000 mile range.

Now, does anyone know what the no shit situation is on the ground? Who has what forces where?

Yeah I just read that here. It's the Jane's World Armies analysis of the ENDF.

Look, I am not at liberty to get into priveledged information here. Yes, I have seen the Ethiopian Army, up close and personal. I know what they can and can not do. Let's leave it at that.

Ashlee and Mick, thanks for the links. Some good info there.

Thanks Michael Ital. I predict if Ethiopia start bringing its air superiority to this campaign the Eris will quickly get involved too Laughing , Not good if you're Ethiopia.
Thank you very much MadMac , I know it is obsolete too .

I really thought the TFG was doomed, but the fact is Baidoa has not fallen. Th ICU has to win soon, or we will see some sort of roll back of previous gains.

Well according to the press releases and other propaganda pieces issued by both parties , it seems to me that the TFG is dire need of cutting some sort of a deal with these guys.
Seriously , the gardheer are like : "We're on a roll , mofos!!" Laughing

MAD_MAC:
You could not be more wrong, the ICU is not only thinking of Capturing Badhaba, but also of capturing Ogadinia? They could have captured Baydhabo 6-months after they captured Jowhar because there were not alot of Ehtiopian troops in Badio? They did not do it for several reasons?

1)Ethiopia would have atacked for the simple reason that Ethiopia will not allow one Entity to control the whole country?

2)6-months ago the ICU were not prepared to confront Ethiopia both domesticly and internationally. Now they cleaned all the heavy weopans from south-central somalia, and also control the Media iron handidly?

3)For 6-months, they have succesfully built this war into Kufr war against another Muslim country? and they will get financial support across the muslim world wide charity. Remember these former moryans as you know will produce results(Unlike hamas who do not produce much, and Hizbolah which only fight once every four years ) and that will definately excite the muslim world to give them more money.

4)Why sacrifice alot people to capture Badoi in one or two days? when you know this war is gonna be full war Between Ethiopia and Somalia, and eventuall will not matter what teritory each side holds?Soon there will be cross border raids from both sides? Look at the media today, Balanbale which is in Galgaduud(Close to DhuusoMareeb) were vacated today by the Ethiopians, because ONLF raided Shilaabo?

5)The bigest loser in my book is definately Meles Zenawi. What can he posibly gain from this? He know he cannot control Somalia for he could not even control Eritria which is three times less? And remember Tigre is minority in Ehtiopia who everybody in Ethiopia hates. Ethiopian rebels will definately take advantage of this.

6) From the Ethiopia side, they will try to keep this war inside Somalia as musch as possible. If they lose Baidoi they will try to keep the war inside Puntland. This is the reason Ehtiopians are not Invading Hawiye terirtoris(Hiiran, and Galgadudu), and not using airplanes to attack the courts.

7)and lasty Remember mixing Mooryaan wiht Religion with Funds from the muslim world is intoxicating? Also, these guys are the same Mogadishu residents who fought You(USA) with nothing but AK-47 and RPG. Imagine these same guys who got weopons and Funds coming daily from around the world(Especially Eritria who has alot of expertise fighting Ethiopians) into Somalia.

"He know he cannot control Somalia for he could not even control Eritria which is three times less? "

BUZZ_3,

You have to remember Eritrea was passionately united in its struggle against Ethiopia and it took decades of building grass roots initiatives.

Somalis are miserably divided right now.
