Somali Script of today was adopted using GAAL lexicon aka LATIN. THE OSMANIYA WAS USED based on Somali creative passage by the great WAHABBI SHEIK OSMAN

That and the mixture of Latin letters, BUT since 1971 it was discontinued.

HE CREATED THE FIRST...AS IN UNO...SOMALI SCRIPT. Give the man his credit.

Mr. Ali Mire Awale wrote it, he lives in minnesota now.
