Ogaadeen vs Harti

[ABSAME']

Has anyone read this book, "The Invention of Somalia" by the late professor of UCLA Ali Jimcaale.

Although he does not write fairly of the Somali history, he highlights clan lineages and how they are related.


Harti tribe, he says are even younger than Ogadeen in the lineage, the line of descendents to Daarood.


Ogaden Absame Kuumade Kablalax(Mohamed) Daarood(Cabdirxam) Ismaciil.

In this Abtirsiinyo, Harti is by far the grandson of Ogaaden. I mean Ogaden was the uncle of Harti Daarood , but being more numerous and civilized, Harti is not considered as that Deep .


Cali Sharmaake, a Majerrteen poet said something after an Ogaadeen man who was suitor to Cali Kenadiid's daughter, Cawrala Cali Kenadiid. The Ogaden elders was accompanied by gluttonous man Halacdheere.

Waa heli karaa baad na tidhi ,waana hibataaye
Gobanimo hadday hiba tahay, oo hore laguu siiyey
Hah maxaad u tidhi wiil martiya, hilib intaad siisay

Sayid Mohamed, disturbed by the wisdom of Harti poets, responded in support of his Ogadeen.

Ogaden geneology gose from
Ogadenbin**bin Barwaaq binAbsame.

the reason why Ogaden and Harti were equalled is due to the fact that
Ogaden had all the qualities found in Harti as a unit.
