yes, it might run in the blood, but its also the environment.

I know of a family (cousins) of mine who were born and raised in Mogadishu and have thick Rere Xamar accent. Upto this day, the older guy still speaks like typical reer xamar but the younger ones have changed totally.

I think the above is right too..From what I heard when the reer woqooyie esp. the Isaaqs use to go Mogadisho dadka aye faraha indhaha ka gaalin jiriin while talking.. and the Walawayns started to call em Qaldamiin.. Wa allahu aclam!!! Smile
