Sharif Sheikh Ahmad is an Abgaal, not a Cayr, so I don't see how he was "Saving the Cayr". He left because his own qabiil, the Abgaal, switched sides, and they had no chance to hold Mogadishu with the Abgaal cooperating with the TFG. This is the reason he fled south in the first place.

The Ugas of the Cayr also sided againt the ICU eventually, and are currently part of Galmudug, so the Qabiil argument is actually rather stupid, considering "their" Qabiil sided with their opponents

james, my friend i dont believe what people write on wikipedia. you think it is a bullet proof. check it for yourselves people. james, i love abgals and i have abgal relatives. i will protect sheikh sharif, but i will never consider him as a somali hero. he was caught up with the wrong crowd who abused him and many somalis like us.

The Fact that Amiir Sheikh Shariif is an Abgal....isn't a news ...only to those who accuse UIC being a pure ceyr movement and now coming to their senses!

UIC pullied out most of their soldiers out of Xamar and left few to adop guerilla while the rest made a strategic move which help gain time.

Abgal is a big qabiil and you have good and bad..

The bad wanted UIC out so that they could beggin their looting robbing and the use of QAAT!

Majority of Abgaals supported warlords and some few had hope in geedi

So sheikh shariif knew his fate ..he continued to fight for the cause that he believed in..

Habar gidir on the hand had gotten rid of their warlords and are know simply fighting for their country against occupation and a puppet goverment elected by the very same warlords that hey help oust


So musika are you gonna stop hating Sheikh Shariif because he is not ceyr.

I do not favour Indho cadde or Sheikh aweys but ceyr are beutiful people...stop the hate!!!
