I posted a ltopic about Somali minor subclans who are affiliated with stronger subclans. Dr I M Lewis claims that there was a group of Akiishe that were absorbed into Jibriil Abokor in 1946 and given the subclan name reer Barre.

I always thought one became Habar Awal by birth. Apparently it is just a club that anyone can join Laughing

Your right you don't beg xabashi, they believe its their right for your ilk to be their serfs and you accept it.
