Did I write Dulbahante? I had my head up my fourth point of contact. He's Gadabursi - a Dir sub-clan. But he is not Isaaq.

Madmac, the next vice president of Somaliland is dhulbahante , the current president though is Gadaboursi.
Majeertenia can have the oil{ read they sold the wells for 250K} and can have the dhullos too , as far as I am concerned , they'll be fighting over it in NO time .

In my opnion no oil wether it is in the South { Hawiye land} Nth East{ Puntland} or Nth West{ us} should be extracted until a FINAL solution 's been found for the current mess.

While there is a certain logic to that, if you are the governing body of Puntland or Somaliland, then you need revenue. They are not going to wait another decade to see how things pan out.

Yeah , but it's either that or total chaos in the whole region.
Somalia doesn't need oil at this point , it needs peace.

The place has always been chaotic. Expecting Africans to govern themselves with civility is asking WAY too much. Natures law, not mine.

Define chaotic first , coz North Philly is a hell lot more chaotic than Hargeysa.
No2/ Mr Madmac very easy for you to criticize others , when chaos is your current best exporting item { the US}
No3/ Nature laws in Africa {the way you perceive them }have had at times the long arms of the CIA and other cold war interest excuse for fuc.kin' us up .

I'm thinking Mogadishu will only be rebuilt thru intl' investors and the diaspora.

Mogadishu may as well be wiped off and start from scratch.. its pretty much the only city in which you have a valid point for that.

And if we get a federal government... they should follow the constitution in which the natural resources have to be shared by the people. Thats the fallacy in whats going on in Puntland, IMO.

Stop the excusing making. Africans are focked up because of their stupidity. Mad Mac is spot on. Dont blame the Americans. They will take care of your mistakes but you gotta make them. So will Ethiopians.

Take your Isaaq people. By African standards a decently run place. But instead of builing on that what do you Isaaqs do? You go to war in order to try and annex land beloning to the people you claim subjugated and colonized you for years. You claim that they are your brothers because both of you were colonized by the British Laughing Laughing

Only Africans can come up with Idiotic politics like that. And the people are fully behind this because as they embark on war, Their constitutional rights are being eroded and corruption is rampant and journalists who disclose the corruption are jailed. Only in Africa

As for the 250K for the wells, the granting of the right to prospect for oil is bought cheap. The heafy dosh comes from the sharing of revenue less the costs of the drilling. If the oil is easy to extract as in Saudi, then the government gets huge revenues. If the cost is something like 30 per barrel, then not so good.

Cilmiile , 2 things!
Horta aniga markaad ila hadlaysid, fadlan wax aqli gal ah iila kaalay.

What land have the Isaaq people annexed? If we were in that kind of Faqash business , Las Canood would either have been "ours" or totally in ruins.Spare me the Hatuuf 's journalists imprisonment reference , CY Al -Jazeera oo addunkoo dhan laga daawado ayuu xidhay Laughing
Anigu waxa nimankiinan Hartida shisheeye laga siiyo { US & Ethiopia} war kama hayee , wakaasee maraykan Xamar gacanta ha idinka geliyo.
History-ga Africa from the assasination of Patrice Lumumba{ the last true leader of the Congo} ilaa iyoo arming and supplying blood thirsty dictators like Mobutu or Siad Barreh, Maraykan baa ka dambeeyay.

250K in Majeerten's pocket for prospects done on dhulbahante's territory is quite a good deal from your perspective , I concur Smile
