its got everything and is getting bigger than Moqdiso. Over 1 million people live there. Its not desert like Hargeisa and has airport and port.

When the Ilka-Yars are cleaned from the city and peacefully get shipped to their Balanbale and Caabud-Waaq destinations, then the righteous residents of the city should make that decision. There are way too many ilka-yars roaming around in the city and until we export them like the corn we produce in Bu’aale, Kismaayo can’t be a safe city.

Barre Huuraale is leading a decent clan into destruction Walaahay and they don’t know about it. For his greediness and power ambitions, he has fooled so many of the Sade people by convincing them that Kismaayo is their city. What a shame Walaahay.

I don't how depth your knowledge of the Mareexaan is, but 99% of all the Ilka-Yars claiming to the ownership of Kismaayo all the sudden are from Balanbale and Caabudwaaq especially the small villages sarounding Caabud-Waaq. The people of reer Gedo are cool and seem to have that layback Waamo distinctiveness.

somaliman, when mj's or any other somali clan came to kismayo, people were living there and they are called Bajuun, and the word kismayo comes from their language, I dont know what it means though.

It was called Kismayo before any majeerten set foot there.
Sir luggoyo once told us what it meant zulaika and I think it had something to do with the original " not ethnic somalis" living down there.I don't what it really means either.
My guess is -->Aboo ani kasi maayo--> kasimayo......--> kismayo { don't quote me on that though , it's only a qaldaan perspective}
