Romance and The Romantic!

Postby Lil_Cutie.. » Thu Apr 26, 2007 6:28 pm

What is Romance?
The word by definition means; a Story, a Saga, a Legend, Fable etc.
The word Romantic by Definition means; Dreamy, Idealistic, Loving, Passionate

To have romance and be romantic just does not add up.
Does it mean you're a su'cker for fake-ness?
I want to hear your definitions, comparisons and ultimately--How do you measure Romance? Is it by simple hugs, kisses, flowers, Money and material things?--How do you express your 'passion' your 'saga' for someone?

...And another thing, I just do not understand those people who read through pages and pages, book after book of the stuff? What the heck is in them? What does it do for you?-Why?

Any Real-Life stories? Any fantasies?

All I need in a relationship is someone who can take care of themselves and their responsibilities....anything more than that is romance for me.

Are you saying you don't necessarily need romance?

LOL. You sound like you have been married before, or atleast you seem to know what a bunch of babies married men are.

Cutie, romance is not as important as its made out to be. Its wonderful to recieve it and give it, but not when it comes with an agenda....especially when someone isnt holding up their part of the deal in a relationship. And it also has to be spontaneous, not an obligation....do you know what I mean?

Koronto, lol I have 'em sussed Laughing

I'm not totally a fan myself. I just don't think Romance is ''what it used to be'' Looooooooool. Like Romeo & Juliet-Hellooo.!! (As If!).

Seriously, I get you, it is sooo over rated. Young Dave is right it over complicates the contract. Very Happy Lol.
Even if it does happen, what are the chances it'll last?

LOL. I could tell.

Anyways, romance can be whatever you want it to be, not necessarily what white women on soap operas tell the whole world it is. Romance can be a nice gesture from your spouse e.g. husband doing the dishes for a change. Or wifey putting her husband's favorite dress on, etc.

Romance=endless possibilities.

Ok dude, you over did it there. Those 3 letter words are important to say, especially if you mean it. Start of with Mama. Very Happy
Koronto--That's a sweet explaination. But doesn't that die out after a while? The essence? After a couple of years, the wife putting on the dress will become normal or the husband doing the washing up will become an act of importance as it's his house aswell.
