     | Unrecorded Date I have a question, are all our Somalian sisters complain freaks, Or are we all Somalian brothers as bad as they are saying we are? It looks like our sisters are not happy with us no matter what. If it is not one thing it is another, they don’t like the way we dress, they don’t like the way we talk to them, they don’t think we are romantic enough. I for one have not yet seen one Somalian sister who is happy with what she has got, and believe me I have seen a lot. And the sad thing is there are enough men out there who would do anything for their woman. Can any of u sisters out there enlighten us and tell us what u really want?

| | Unrecorded Date Salaams Mohamed, I think both men and women basically want the same think: My 'wish' list in random order would include: - Intelligent - Honest - Responsible - Ambitious - Educated - Sense of humour - Sauve and sophisticated - Teetotaler - Patient Mohamed, girls are socialized to look up to men, so sometimes its difficult to make a connection with a nice guy if one can not look up to him.(i.e be able to respect and admire him) The issue about clothes etc is frivolous and should not be used as a measure of a person's character.

My brother/sister, i know the forums is over following with this kind of topics and u r right there are more Important things we could be talking about, however those important topics are also overflowed here too. I think this forums is designed for all over us to express what we think is important in that instant, and my bro/sis u seem to misunderstood me some what, I am not here to attack any one, I am just posting something that I found lots of ppl talking about. These topics are entertaining as well as informative. We are here to get some ideas about each other, and I don’t believe we could gain anything by attacking one another or invoking a gender war in here. To: Anonymz I think you hit it on the head when u say both men and women r looking for same thing….but most girls seem to think or measure mans personality by what he wear, what he earns, and what about the romantic department? are we really that bad? I understand there are intelligent, intellectual Somalian girls out there, who know what they want in their men and most of them have a shopping list, which, we think can be satisfied easily but the problem here is that when they find a guy who can satisfy that list they don’t recognise until is it too late.

Man is Man and Woman is Women ,one is from mars and the other from Venus clear and far distinction.Men do not think about intelegient , honest,educated and those other blah , blah. What men want is SEX period.Naturally Men will prefer to have a young women not because of what is under her skull but because of sexual assets looks> beutiful,young pure(virgin) while women on the other hand women look for security tender love caring etc while your point may be true somehow that women tend to look for intelligent,honest,ambitiuos educated, etc in actual fact you'll looking for someone who can provide some security(ability to earn alot of money) an old rich man or a young man with good career who is able to provide you with House ,car,bank account, and your shopping needs here's were the dirac and dahab comes,its known fact that women like shopping not only to our somali sistas but women in general. They find shopping not very satisfying . They are interested in finding the perfect mate not because of security reasons but to love, respect, child bearing etc. So brother please don't generalize X

A man who knows how to put on some clothes that match- no clashing brothers, please! 3. A man who can pay his bills and not hit me up for coffee! Hey! I am tired! 4. A man who showers occasionally..to avoid being kicked out of restaurants. I can even tolerate the stench for a while, but indoor eating establishments...that is something else all together! and last but definitely not least; 5. A man who has NO sisters, cousins, brothers, extended family....so that he can do number 3! It adds us....50 here, 100 there and so on. See what men have reduced us to! And they reason they choose to be single is because they know what they want. Contrary to your assumption that they are desparate, this group strongly beleives in "waa bahaantahay baaqti looma cuuno" The only danger with this age group is that they may opt out and choose a foreigner.

I strongly reject the assumption people have that if a woman doesn't marry by a certain age, then she becomes desperate. I am over 33, and as Allah is my witness in this day of ramadan I am not desperate, never was, never will be. Why? becuase I have faith that i will take from this world what has been pre-ordained for me. Nothing less, nothing more. I am at peace with my lot. Alxamdulillahi for my iimaan.
