NIGERIA: GIVEN HOSTING RIGHTS OF THE 2007 VOLLEYBALL WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP December 16, 2005
(SomaliNet) The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has been given the provisional hosting rights of the 2007 World Youth Championship. The Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) granted this after the country’s loss to Algeria in 2005.
In 2005,Nigeria bided alongside Morocco and Algeria before Algeria emerged successful.
However, NVBF still needs to confirm the provision of security and broadcasting facilities before the FIVB confirms it as the host of the 2007 games.
The hosting rights came after the construction of a modern volleyball court at the Abuja Stadium for the 8th All Africa Games.
