He revealed to the head of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) in Monrovia that he has been receiving hate mails from anonymous sources.
UNMIL boss confirmed Weah’s complaints. Ambassador Doss condemned the act, saying "We totally deplore this act. Violence and hit mail will not be tolerated at this time.â€
This follows Weah’s acceptance of defeat in the November 8 which Liberian president, Sirleaf commended. She referred to the act as "his statesmanlike decision to accept the result of the November 8, 2005 presidential run-off election".
"George Weah should have done this ever since, however he will be considered by the Liberian people as their son", said Sarah Johnson a defected supporter of the CDC.
