NIGERIA: PARTNERSHIP WITH THE US TO FIGHT AIDS YIELDS RESULTS January 28, 2006

(SomaliNet) Personnel of the Nigerian Armed forces have got equipment and an office has been built in the country courtsey of the US.
This follows a partnership arrangement between the US and Nigeria to figt HIV/AIDS.
Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Rowland Oritsejafor said tha this act is a sign that the world's military "to use its resources for each other and not to focus guns and other weapons on each other."
The equipment provided includ treatment materials, official and utility vehicles, a 50 KVA generator, communications equipment and other gadgets.
The equipment is to benefit both the military personnel and civilians living within the barracks.
