EGYPT: GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR TO BLAME FOR FEB 3RD SHIP DISASTER February 16, 2006

(SomaliNet) Defiencies in the Egyptan government and private sectors caused the deaths of over 1000 people on the Egyptian Red Sea. This is according to Egyptian Organisation for Human Rights ( EOHR)

"This tragedy illustrates how far the level of service in all sectors, without exception, has fallen," says a report from the organisation.

"National institutions failed to adequately deal with the sinking of the Al-Salam 98," the report adds.
