RWANDA: FORMER PRESIDENT BIZIMUNGU LOSES APPEAL February 18, 2006

(SomaliNet) Rwandan former President, Pasteur Bizimungu has lost his appeal against a 15-year jail term imposed in 2004. Bizimungu was seeking the Supreme Court to overturn a ruling by the then Kigali High Court.-New times said.
Kigali High Court had convicted Bizimungu on three accounts of embezzlement, spreading of malicious rumours to incite the masses against the government and creating a militia group.
The court also upheld a ten-year jail sentence on Charles Ntakirutinka, a former minister for public works.
