GHANA: CHELSEA EXPRESSES INTEREST IN FREDDY ADU February 21, 2006

(SomaliNet) Ghana has a chance to have one of its natives play for Chelsea. This follows a revelation by Chelsea chairman, Bruce Buck, that the club will buy Ghana-born Freddy Adu if he lives up to their expectations.
Adu is now playing for DC United who say that he might be up for sale at this year's end. If Ghana born Adu satisfies Chelsea's head of scouting, Frank Arnesen, then he wil be an addition to the Chelsea team.
"We are interested in any young top-notch player.That’s why we brought Frank Arnesen on board and I’m sure Frank has watched him play and is looking at him. And if he’s as good as people say he is, then I think we would be interested," said Buck.
