ETHIOPIA AND SUDAN PEACE TALKS December 16, 2005
(SomaliNet) Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi, Thursday 15th welcomed support to support to the implementation of Sudan's Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
On his visit to Sudan, Zenawi was quoted as telling Sudanese First Vice President Salva Kiir Mayardit that Ethiopia supports the Sudanese government's efforts to achieve stability and development in Sudan.
The Ethiopian prime minister also hailed good relations between Sudan and Ethiopia and stressed the need to promote bilateral cooperation in all domains. The two sides agreed to take security measures on the Sudan - Ethiopian border and encourage transportation and commerce between the two counties.
Zenawi also met with Sudanese Second Vice President Ali Othman Taha on the latest developments in the region and ways to maintain regional stability.
