KENYA FEDERATION'S RESOLUTIONS DISMISSED BY FIFA December 22, 2005

(SomaliNet) Resolutions passed at a consultative meeting between the Kenyan government and Kenya Football Federation (KFF) officials was on Tuesday 20th dismissed by World soccer governing body FIFA.
A special delegate to the President of FIFA, Jerome Champagne said that while they welcome the sports minister's intervention in trying to resolve the crisis, they are not happy with some of the resolutions.
The official said late Tuesday that FIFA was studying the resolutions and would issue a comprehensive statement soon.
The meeting convened by Kenya's newly appointed Sports Minister Maina Kamanda made far-reaching resolutions that included asking Alfred Sambu to re-apply to KFF delegates for him to be re-admitted back as federation chairman.
Government, KFF, the Kenya National Sports Council (KNSC), the Kenya Football Coaches Association and the Kenya Football Referees Association (Kefora) officials attended the meeting. Others in attendance were the Kenya Premier Limited (KPL), National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) and the Sports Stadia Management Board (SSMB) members.
