<|national_emblem_bw.gif||left|>The Transitional Federal Government of the Somali Republic’s Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi held an iftar dinner in a Nairobi hotel, in honor of forty deputies from both Jowhar and Mogadishu who have been meeting behind closed meeting in Nairobi for the last ten days.
Prime Minister praised and commended them for the courageous efforts in trying to bridge the differences and he pledged to support fully their initiatives. The meeting was a milestone, he said, and it was conducted in an open and frank atmosphere, where deputies tackled sensitive issues.
Deputies Qamar Adan Jeele and Ahmed Duale Gelee in their addresses, urged fellow deputies to end the long the internal differences and forge ahead since much was expected of them. Deputy Ahmed Hashi Omar made a passionately appeal for unity and stick to the to very objectives that they expected to perform so as to strengthen the government’s institutions.
The deputies pledged to continue carry on meetings inside Somalia and they all agreed to accompany the Prime to Jowhar next week and then onwards to Mogadishu to carry on the message of reconciliation.
