(SomaliNet) Wigan have signed Cameroon international full back Salomon Olembe on a free transfer.The 26-year-old former Leeds and Nantes winger joins after leaving Marseille in the summer.
Born in Yaounde, Olembe started his professional career at Nantes before joining Marseille in 2001, initially on loan and then permanently.
He remained contracted at Stade Velodrome ever since, although spent time on loan at Leeds and Al-Rayyan in Qatar.
Olembe - who has 60 caps for the Indomitable Lions - has signed a one-year deal at the JJB stadium and will provide competition for the left back slot vacated by Leighton Baines.-Eurosport
