PREMIER LEAGUE: MAN-U’S SAHA COMMITTED TO THE CLUB September 24, 2007

(SomaliNet) Saying he is fully fit, Louis Saha has hit out at suggestions that he is only prepared to play for Manchester United.

The French striker has been plagued by injuries since joining United but some supporters have been frustrated by what they perceive as a reluctance to play through the pain barrier.

However, Saha maintains that he is totally committed to helping United, even when he is not in top condition.

"Anyone who says I was not willing to play to play until I was 100 per cent fit is not telling the truth," he said in the Sunday Mirror.

"I have never refused to play for the team, yet I was hearing claims about me not being psychologically committed.

"The people who criticise me don't know that three years ago I was playing games despite having a knee that I couldn't bend more than 90 degrees."

Saha admits he was unable to take much satisfaction from his own contribution to United's success last season, and is determined to play a bigger role this term.

He revealed: "I have to confess that when I collected my medal I was really sad.

"Obviously everyone takes some of the credit for winning the title, but I didn't feel I had played a big enough part in our success.

"I was reduced to a few games and, while we all celebrated, I still had this empty feeling inside.

"That's why my aim this year is to stay fit and show people the real Louis Saha."-Eursopsort
