Italian airport authorities seize US $205,000 from American rapper Snoop Dogg

Italian airport authorities and Italian Finance Police seized US $205,933from American rapper Snoop Dogg at an airport in Calabria, CNN reported Sunday.

A police source  reportedly told CNN that during a normal check at Lamezia Terme, the rapper was found with $422,820 in U.S. cash, CNN says the maximum amount of cash that passengers traveling through Italy can carry without declaring it is €10,000 ($11,010.25). The rules were put in place to prevent money laundering.

50 Cent files for bankruptcy after loosing ‘sex-tape’ lawsuit

Curtis Jackson III, alias 50 Cent, has filed for federal bankruptcy protection Monday, days after a jury ordered him to pay $5 million in an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit, AP reported.

According to reports, the rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford. 50 cent reportedly owns a 50,000-square-foot mansion in nearby Farmington.AP says the filing lists both the assets and liabilities for the "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" artist as between $10 million and $50 million and indicates his debts are primarily consumer and not business related.

Cinema: Jurassic World earns over $500m in record opening weekend

A Universal Pictures film, Jurassic World has become the first film to take more than $500m at the box office on its opening weekend, BBC reported late Sunday adding  that Jurassic World was the most popular screening in all 66 countries where it was released.

According to reports, the  fourth instalment in the Jurassic Park series made $204.6m (£131.4m) in the US, according to the firm Exhibitor Relations.It took $100m in China and $29.6m (£19m) in the UK and Ireland as part of the record global total of $511.8m.
