Egypt: Jihadists loyal to Islamic State kill 14 in bomb attack

Egyptian jihadists loyal to the Islamic State (IS) group on Sunday killed 14 people in two bomb attacks in Sinai Peninsula, AFP reported. Among those killed includes 11 security personnel in an incident claimed by Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, which has carried out a slew of attacks in Sinai since the army's ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.

Yemen: Over 500 rebels killed since start of military operation-Government

A Saudi Defence Ministry official said Saturday that over 500 Houthi rebels have been killed since the start of Saudi-led military operations against Yemeni Shia fighters, CNN quoted the state-run Saudi Press Agency.

A Saudi General Gen. Ahmed Asiri reportedly said Saturday that nine-nation coalition has undertaken 1,200 airstrikes since they began on March 26, adding that the raids aim to keep the rebels from moving toward southern Yemen.

Italy in the first three months of 2015 registered a total of 10,165 migrants arriving on its shores - a slight drop in the number of arrivals recorded during the same period in 2014.
Additionally, Italy rescued about 2,000 migrants at sea during the first weekend of April in the Channel of Sicily, as a result of several seaborne operations. As of today (10/4) the total arrivals comes to over 12,000.

Italy: Over 900 migrants rescued in in Mediterranean Sea

The Italian Coast Guard said Saturday that 978 migrants from Africa and the Middle East were rescued Friday in the Mediterranean Sea.

According to European Parliament member Matteo Salvini, the migrants were picked up 30 miles off the coast of Libya.Meanwhile, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said, Italy registered more than 10,000 migrants arriving in the first three months of 2015 and about 2,000 were rescued at sea during the first weekend of April in the Channel of Sicily.

Pakistan: Rebels kill 20 sleeping construction workers in Baluchistan province

In the latest violence by Pakistan’s separatist rebels fighting for control of resources in gas- and mineral-rich Baluchistan province, a government official said gunmen 20 labourers as they slept early on Saturday.

According to Reuters the Pakistani rebels have been fighting a low-intensity insurgency in the province for decades, demanding an end to what they see as the exploitation of their resources by people from other parts of Pakistan.

Iraq: Islamic State captures two cities in Iraq

In a what poses a serious setback for Iraqi government campaign to retake the desert terrain from Islamic State (IS), the notorious militants attacked the capital of Iraq's vast Anbar province on multiple fronts on Friday, seizing two areas on the city outskirts, Reuters reported.

Reuters cited security officials and a hospital source as saying IS militants deployed vehicle and suicide bombs to tear through Iraqi government lines north of the city of Ramadi overnight before attacking on foot.

U.S: Justin Bieber faces arrest in Argentina

U.S singer Justin Bieber faces arrest after an Argentine judge issued a warrant for him Friday saying the U.S singer failed to respond to summons related to allegations he ordered bodyguards to attack a photographer in 2013.

According to AP, Argentine Judge Alberto Julio Banos ordered the "immediate detention" of Bieber and bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls.
However, a Bieber has not yet been reached for comment on the matter.
