German court sentences Rwandan man to life imprisonment over 1994 church massacre

A Rwandan man of Hutu tribe was on Tuesday sentenced to life in jail by a German court for his active role in orchestrating a church massacre of hundreds of Tutsis during the 1994 genocide.

Uganda’s New Vision reported citing AFP that the former town mayor Onesphore Rwabukombe, 58, had previously been sentenced to 14 years prison for aiding and abetting the crime.
